As laid out by the Society's Constitution (7.1), the Steering Committee shall consist of not fewer than six Members nor more than nine Members, including the Society's Honorary Officers, and such number of co-opted members as may be thought fit but so that no more than one-third of the members of the Committee  will be co-opted members at any one point.

The Committee shall meet as often as may be necessary for the proper conduct of the Society's affairs, and in any event at least twice a year. Thus, the Committee typically meets at the Autumn Colloquium, or in any case soon after the start of the subscription year, and again at the Society's Spring Meeting.

Every AGM shall be formally called by the Committee. The Secretary shall give at least 21 days' notice of the AGM to all Members of the Society.
