Puzzle ID: 01-12/2012 'Pierre Coste on Agesilaus and Diana'

The problem:
In a letter from Pierre Coste to the third Earl of Shaftesbury from 3 July 1708 is the following description of an inscription:

 ΣΠΑPTIATAI

 & au bas

 NEKPΩ EΞEΣTΩ.

Further information:
The doctor mentioned in the letter does not seem to be Jacob Spon; there is nothing in his writings or in those of George Wheler about their joint journeys.

Question:
Can anyone help with identifying the book in which the text from Mistra was published?
