Nick Milner made Honorary Member of the Society!
At the AGM on Saturday, 17 November 2012, the Society announced that Nick Milner, the Society's Treasurer since its foundation, was to be honoured with Honorary Membership.
Nick's epigraphic work has focused on the collection and analysis of the inscriptions from Oinoanda in south-western Turkey - where he has been involved for many years in the study of the site.

The Society mourns the death of Joyce Reynolds (18 December 1918 - 11 September 2022) - devoted Roman epigrapher and founding member of the BES, who became the Society's first honorary member in 2011, to mark her contribution to the BES.

Joyce Reynolds made Honorary Member of the Society!
At the AGM on Saturday, 19 November 2011, the Society announced that Joyce Reynolds, a founding member of the Society, was to be honoured with Honorary Membership.
Joyce's career has been dedicated to the study of inscriptions, especially - but not only - in Asia Minor, and her work on the epigraphy of Aphrodisias has changed our understanding of the city fundamentally.
